This detailed handbook is intended as a useful guide to help you fully understand and experience the 2025 Jubilee, whose motto, chosen by Pope Francis, is "Pilgrims of Hope". The booklet is divided into 5 parts: 1) The Jubilee: a biblical, historical, and theological journey: a primary explanation of the origin and significance of the Jubilee. 2) Keeping the guiding light of hope brightly lit: a look at the unique characteristics of this Holy Year. 3) The schedule of main events specific to the Holy Year. 4) Hope, the little 'girl' that pushes everything forward: a valuable anthology of detailed texts provided by 'witnesses' of Hope. 5) The Lord is my Hope on my path: a practical proposal for daily prayer and reflection on the theme of the theological virtue of Hope, a 21-day journey, using selected passages of Holy Scripture, meditations by Pope Francis, and some special prayers. The daily devotionals can be used both as preparation and guidance in the "geographical" pilgrimage to the Holy Door or in a personal pilgrimage for those unable to travel, as well as for spiritual strengthening after the individual experience of the Jubilee.
