From the protohistoric necropolis to the medieval city: this first guide from the National Archaeological Museum of Chiavari reads the history of the city through the common thread of the findings of the last seventy years. The finds reveal the entire stratification of settlements in the area starting from the Recent and Final Bronze Age (14th-10th century BC) and then from the Iron Age (late 8th-early 6th century BC), which represents the most important part of the necropolis found in the 1950s, for which the museum was founded.
